Your FuturEU, which is a campaign funded by the European Union, had as its main aim the engagement of civil society, particularly students and young adults, through the initiation of dialogues related to our future within the European Union. The intention was to then use these discussions as the basis of our policy recommendations at the end of the campaign, specifically through the formulation of this policy paper. While raising awareness on the topics that we tackled throughout the campaign was of extreme importance to us, what we wanted to achieve was truly engaging, connecting and empowering young people to become active citizens involved in society, even on a European level. It is only through collective participation and action that we can work towards having a brighter future in the European Union – and this is precisely what drove us to create this campaign.
To deal with everything that has been mentioned above, each sub-campaign consisted of thought-provoking events and initiatives such as panel discussions, debates, an expo, Q&A sessions, workshops, social media content, videos, surveys, reports, articles, guidebooks, and finally this policy paper which has as its aim opening the doors to well-needed discussions on issues related to drug use, gender equality and mental health both on a societal and professional level.
