The Malta University Debating Union, a joint initiative between the University of Malta and KSU – Kunsill Studenti Universitarji, is pleased to be hosting this year’s University General Election Debate which will take place this Thursday 10 March at Sir Temi Zammit Hall, starting at noon. Lectures will be suspended for the duration of the debate.
This debate will feature representatives from the political parties which are fielding candidates on all electoral districts. The debate will be moderated by a student and will feature questions put forward by the student body.
Attendance is limited to UM and JC students only, and registration will be open tomorrow Tuesday 8 March at noon through the University’s
eSIMS portal under a new tab titled ‘Debate’, and will close once the available seats are booked. Students need to upload a valid EU Digital COVID Certificate through the registration form which will be verified after registration. Students will receive a confirmation email once registration is completed.
The confirmation email and the student’s original ID Card must be shown at entry in order to verify authenticity. Students can only register once.
Seating will be separated between the balcony and the stalls and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis to those who have booked successfully.
Students can submit their questions by sending an email on
mudu@um.edu.mt, and will also have the option of submitting questions on the day of the debate. Doors will open at 11:30.

Facebook page and will be broadcast live on Campus FM.
