Democracy Derailed? is an Erasmus+ project aimed at engaging youths through a number of conferences, in order to get their perspective and proposals on the state of democracy in Malta. This project is divided into three main themes: Media and Freedom of Speech, Partisan Politics, and Civic Education & Active Citizenship. 📰
In light of the upcoming General Election, KSU wants to offer students the platform to discuss, question and engage with political candidates on topics pertinent to youths.
Registration will open at 09:30, with the first-panel discussion on Maltese Politics starting at 10:00. The second discussion will focus on The Last Five Years: An Overview. Both Panels will include a number of upcoming electoral candidates, both new and incumbent. Following the discussions, participants will then be divided into 2 groups for workshops on The Electoral System and The Corruption of Power. A coffee break and lunch will be provided by KSU. The speakers will be announced at a later date.
