Robert is a 21-year-old student currently reading for a degree in law. Throughout the past two years, Robert served as Social Policy Commissioner and then as Secretary General within KSU.

Together with student organisations on campus, Robert worked on several initiatives, from the launch of the Malta University Debating Union to the Careers’ and Research Fair amongst others. The role of Secretary General, in particular, prepared Robert to take on this next challenge and lead this term’s executive in a fresh direction, whilst continuing to build on that which was started in previous years.

Besides being active on campus, Robert also used to form part of the Malta Model United Nations Society, and served the role of logistics officer. He was also heavily involved in the Junior Chamber International, and gave his input to various student organisations on campus. Furthermore, Robert currently also occupies the role of Head of Logistics within the TEDxUniversityofMalta Steering Committee.

On a personal level, Robert is a down to earth person, who’s willing to help out whenever the need arises and who is very keen on public speaking, debating and international affairs. He strongly believes that change is the most effective way of progressing and lives by the words “Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything”.

As President, Robert will continue working on emphasising transparency, whilst collaborating with as many students and organisations on campus as possible, in order to ensure the highest level of professionalism as expected from the Council. Through this role, Robert will also ensure that a sense of community is created on campus, both for those who involve themselves in student organisations and those who do not, whilst encouraging more students to actively participate and give their input to all matters which directly or indirectly affect the student population.
