Larkin Zahra is a third year B. European Studies student with Geography being his subsidiary area. Larkin has been active in organisations for quite a while now. He was elected as a class representative in his secondary school. More recently, he was elected as Secretary General and President of JEF Malta. During his term, he managed to win an internal bid within all the JEF sections on behalf of JEF Malta to host the October 2010 JEF Europe Federal Committee in Malta. He was also active in other organisations such as in the University of Malta Geographical Society (UMGS) as PRO. During his term, he managed to build up a number of contacts with other student organisations and also managed to secure a number of television interviews to promote UMGS.

As International Officer, Larkin will promote student mobility: both the academic ones, such as the Erasmus programme, and also the numerous international opportunities available for the Maltese students, such as exchanges. Larkin will also make sure that the international students are represented in the best way possible during their stay in Malta. Finally, Larkin will organise training sessions about the various EU funding opportunities available for all the students and organisations. This will be done in order to increase the knowledge about these opportunities and explaining how these funds can be tapped.
