Martina Galea is 21 years old and she is currently reading for a Bachelor of Commerce degree with majors in Accounts and Economics. Eventually, she would like to further her studies in economics. Martina enjoys being involved in the many different aspects of student life rather than simply the academic. Even in secondary school, she was involved in a number of extra curricular activities. This continued as she progressed to 6th form. She was involved in the St. Aloysius 6th form soirees and the Junior Achievement Young Enterprise program for which she was part of the winning team in 2006. One of her passions is the stage and she has continued to involve herself in a number of productions including the KSU Students' Fests of 2009 and 2010. In her free time Martina takes up vocal training and wishes to pursue this hobby further.



Martina has also been involved in the student life at University.  She joined AIESEC in her first year of studies and in the following year she was part of the organising committee that organised an international AIESEC conference held in Malta.  In her third year she held the post of Secretary General in the Association of Students of Commercial Studies (ASCS), FEMA's faculty-based student. Martina's aspirations for KSU are to bring the council closer to the student body as well as work hard to promote further investment in the University of Malta for the good of all students. She hopes to help to make students more aware of the diverse opportunities that our university provides in order to increase their involvement in the complete experience of student life.
