Malta Medical Students’ Association (MMSA)

President: Omar Chircop

The Malta Medical Students’ Association is a non-governmental, non-partisan student organisation that was established in 1951.

MMSA acts in the best interest of all medical students at the University of Malta and advocates on all issues relating to their time in Medical School through promoting active participation in their education, facilitating opportunities for academic and personal development, and implementing training in the various fields of the public health, sexual health, human rights and peace and peer education.

MMSA also aims to educate and empower the Maltese society, including its marginalized communities, to become functionally involved in decision taking within the National Healthcare System and to reduce health-related social problems through culture and gender sensitive health advocacy.
