President: Yasmine Ellul
ELSA is an international, independent, non-political, non-profit and voluntary organisation run by and for students. ELSA is the largest law student organisation in the world, in fact, ELSA Malta forms part of a larger ELSA International network which is made up of more than 50,000 students represented through well over 450 law faculties all across and outside Europe in 44 different countries. ELSA International boasts the motto “A just world in which there is respect for human dignity and cultural diversity”, to which ELSA Malta strives to deliver its utmost to uphold said motto. Moreover, ELSA Malta’s main objective is the representation of all law students in the University of Malta.
ELSA Malta boasts various opportunities for every student on campus. Throughout the scholastic year, ELSA Malta organises many different events for students to expand their legal knowledge about all different topics in the Law Course, with some events even being of good use to students of other faculties. This is mainly dealt with by the Academic Affairs Office, the Moot Court Competitions Office, alongside the Seminars & Conferences Office. Apart from the numerous events and activities organised, this is also done through the number of publications and notes offered by ELSA Malta.
In addition to the continuous representation and academic help, ELSA Malta strives to create a truly inclusive, dynamic and fun atmosphere on campus to make sure that each student’s university experience is truly enrichened and improved from both an academic and social aspect. In fact, ELSA Malta is also famous for its many social events organised throughout the year.
