Tano is a 21-year-old third year student currently reading for a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Malta.
From a young age, Tano has actively involved himself in student representation. He served as Secretary and subsequently President of the student council during his time at St. Aloysius Secondary School. He then joined UESA (University Engineering Students’ Association) as Public Relations Officer in 2018 and went on to lead the organisation as president the following year. During his time in UESA Tano revamped the organisation’s marketing and was instrumental in a number of large projects including the organisation of the international EYE Conference in Malta as well as the organisation of two Erasmus+ Key Action 3 Projects titled Hello Future and Global Warning.
Tano has represented Maltese engineering students at national and international level. He was the Maltese representative at a number of EYE (European Young Engineers) Council Meetings and also joined the EYE Task Force as part of their public relations team.
During his time in KSU Tano strives to maintain the KSU brand image and improve the organisation’s digital presence in order to establish more effective communication between the council and the student body.
Tano is very passionate about marketing. He took on an additional A level in the subject and also became a certified digital marketing professional. His personal interests include graphic design, cooking, running, cycling and fishkeeping.
