Following recent developments in both the local and international scene, KSU will be organising an Information Debate regarding the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement, also known as ACTA. This topic has been making rounds on the internet, however there has been very few... information on what ACTA actually entails.

Thus, through this debate, we are aiming to take away most of the misconceptions, and inform you about what ACTA really is, what changes it could bring to our online experience and any other repercussions that it might have, especially on how it can effect students.

The speakers for this debate are:

  • Dr. Simon Busuttil - MEP (EPP Group)
  • Prof. Edward Scicluna - MEP (S&D Group)
  • Dr. Antonio Ghio - IT Expert, Lawyer and Lecturer at the University of Malta

The debate will be moderated by Albert Camilleri, a European Studies student and President of student organisation JEF and ESO.

The event is open for the general public and those attending will have the chance to pose questions to the guest speakers.
