USTA (University Student Teachers’ Association) is an organisation which is senate approved and which represents students following an education course with the Faculty of Education.  USTA has been re-instated in November 2004.

The organisations’ main objective is to offer support to its affiliate members both on campus and when they later graduate and work in the educational sector.

USTA aims to be the liaison between the students and the faculty and therefore encourages participation in discussions and debates on issues related to how education is catered for in our country. As an organisation we also strive to make the students life at University a memorable experience.

Being a non-profit organisation, USTA’s success depends entirely on the participation of students. The association has been involved in several projects such as environmental events, supporting Stopoverty, and actively representing students in both National and International Seminars.
