AEGEE - Association des Etats Généraux des Etudiants de l'Europe - the European Students’ Forum  is the largest pan-European network of students which  promotes the idea of a Borderless Europe.

As non-governmental, politically independent and non-profit making organisation, AEGEE is open for students from all faculties. AEGEE was founded in Paris in 1985 and its members today number 18,000 spread over 42 European countries.

AEGEE works towards enhancing communication and integration among students and young graduates, in a climate of cross-border cooperation. It is through such cooperation amongst more than 200 AEGEE branches all over Europe, that the Association turns its call for European integration into reality, aiming to develop an open and tolerant society.

AEGEE-Valletta founded in 1997, is the Maltese local antenna of the AEGEE-Europe Network. Members have a world of opportunities awaiting them! While participating in International Conferences and Seminars, Training Events or Case-Study Trips, one can experience Europe at its best! However AEGEE is not all work and no play! Throughout the year, various leisure events are organised in the 270 University-cities around Europe including the ever famous Summer Universities! We also organise a lot of local events, for members and Erasmus / International Students such as conferences, debates, thematic seminars, action weeks, cultural tours, sport tournaments and our very own ‘International Students Thursdays’.

With AEGEE one gets the chance to work in an international environment by participating in voluntary organisational subcommittees both on a local and on a European level! In the Executive Board, one can get involved in activities such as Marketing and Public Relations while on the European level, there are Working Groups providing for the association's thematical backbone in areas such as International Politics, Human Rights, Education and IT and there’s also the Comité Directeur, the European Board of AEGEE Europe.

Above all, AEGEE is made of incredibly motivated young people, who work for what they believe, getting in return personal satisfaction and hope that they have slightly influenced the course of things they have touched. The European minded finds in AEGEE an almost perfect environment to learn and act as a European!
