The Malta University Film Club (MUFC) has had a presence on campus for a number years during which it has hosted several successful activities. Due to certain difficulties it went into dormancy for some time however as of December 2009 it was revived and has once again become an active and vibrant organization.

The Malta University Film Club (MUFC) aims to promote student and public interest in the appreciation of films. MUFC aims to promote discussions about films which discussions discuss both the artistic merits of the films in question and also the themes which these films may raise. Indeed MUFC aims to promote the idea that films are indeed a means of delivering a message combined with an opportunity for artistic expression.

The Malta University Film Club (MUFC) thus organizes debates about themes in a particular genre of films, DVD Nights, film showings followed by a discussion on such films and the promotion of films which may perhaps not be as wide spread as blockbusters.

Although the Malta University Film Club is a campus organization whereby its main hub of activity is the University of Malta it welcomes non students as members within the organization believing that the promotion of the film culture is indeed important in a society which needs to appreciate the visual arts ever more.
