KSU positively welcomes the statistics concerning the MATSEC results which show that students are taking these exams seriously and managing to succeed. KSU hopes that the high pass rate signifies an increase in students at University level in the coming years.
KSU notes with satisfaction that almost 82% of students who attempted the Systems of Knowledge exam have succeeded in achieving a passing grade, a high pass rate when compared to other subjects. KSU is however concerned that year after year the percentage of students that sit for the Mathematics exam and obtain a passing grade seems to remain quite low.
KSU also notes the high pass rate in the SEC exams, also published in the last few days; with 89.9% of students who sat for these obtaining positive results.
Whilst congratulating students who got the desired results, KSU encourages all those who are eligible to study at the University of Malta to sign up for the great experience that life on campus provides and in so doing open up many doors of opportunity that may come about during the years spent at this Institution. So as to give its contribution towards making the process of choosing the right course and subjects smoother, KSU has organised a Faculty convention during the admission meetings for prospective Junior College and University students. The aim of this activity was to provide answers to student -life related questions and aid students in any way possible.
KSU wishes to take this opportunity to wish those sitting for re-sits the best of luck.
