Christmas on Campus was organised by the University of Malta in collaboration with the University Chaplaincy and KSU and with the full support of DegreePlus and various student organisations.
There were many activities including the Ecumenical Service, performances by various choirs, groups and bands as well as the sale of plants, mulled wine and mince pies made by volunteers. All events were held on the main quadrangle on campus.
Proceeds from the Christmas on Campus activities and from a collection from amongst students and staff, which amounted to €5,100, will be divided equally between Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi; Angels Home in Ethiopia and l-Istrina.
Mr Mark Debono, Director of Financial Services at the University, presented the cheques to Fr Martin Micallef, the Director of Dar tal-Providenza Siggiewi; Ms Monica Tonna Barthet, founder of the Angels Children’s Home in Ethiopia.
The funds destined for L-Istrina will be presented on 26th December.
