Parking Permit FAQs:
How long is the permit valid for?
The permit is valid for the period of time indicated on the sticker. A year is an academic one therefore between the month of October of that year and September of the following one. Once the permit expires, one must reapply for another one through KSU.
Is there a particular period of time during which I must apply for the permit?
No, there is no specific period. The application forms will remain open all through the year.
Can all students apply for the parking permit?
Yes, all students can apply, whether they are full time or part time.
Is it possible to have more than one parking permit?
As stated before the aim of this parking system is to reduce abuse of parking permit applications as much as possible. Having more than one parking permit per person is not possible. However, we understand that there are students who either share their car with other family members or use a company car. In these cases, it is suggested that they give details of both vehicle registration numbers when applying. The parking permit is then valid for both cars.
I’m having problems with my car and will be using another car for some time. Do I still need a permit?
Yes, you will need a temporary permit. Just come to KSU Office with the details of the car you will be using and you will be given a temporary permit.
