This commission is one of the two commissions within KSU. In line with the KSU statute, the Education Commission:
Student Representatives Student Reps are the frontline representatives of students of your Faculty, Institute or Centre! Each Faculty, Institute or Centre has 2 student reps. These are elected to voice the views of students for the undergraduate or postgraduate programmes within the respective faculty, institute or centre. They act as a channel of communication between staff and students. Student representatives are directly elected from the students’ body of the faculty, institute or centre they are to represent. The student representatives on Senate and Council are elected from amongst the whole student body of the University. A simple majority is required for their election. Each student representative has a term of office of two years. Student reps attend meetings with University staff to let staff know students' views and to participate in decision making. At these meetings student reps ought to be on an equal platform to staff and their views are very important. Download a list of all students reps What do Student reps do?
